Rumour: PlayStation Vita to launch December 31st, ship first week of January
Christmas comes late

Destructoid is reporting that Amazon customers with PlayStation Vita pre-orders are receiving emails claiming that their devices will ship on December 31st.
According to GamesIndustry.biz, though, this could be speculation based on comments from SCEA's president Kaz Hirai, who announced a holiday release at this years E3 conference.
Furthermore, in a recent interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Sony's European president Andrew House said, "There's a very good and sensible reason why we haven't clarified exact timing in regions and geographies - we were significantly impacted by the events of March 11 in Japan.
"We've undertaken, across Sony but also SCEE, a significant assessment of impact on our supply chain and what we think the long or medium term impact is going to be. Once we've completed that assessment and have a full understanding of what our supply chain looks like then we'll be in a position to be more specific about launch in specific regions."
ShopTo.net which has PS Vita's RRP at £229.99 and £279.99 is expecting a November 4th release.
