PSP to TV
Dunno why you’d want one, but Blaze’s new gizmo is a PSP to TV Projector

In these days of high definition TV, there’s definitely a feeling in the air that bigger is better. But that still doesn’t explain - in our opinion at least - why anyone would want to play PSP games on their TV. Surely the point of the PSP is that it’s mobile so you can play wherever you want? Equally, if a game’s designed to look good on the PSP-size screen, it’s clearly not going to look any better when blown up huge on a 32 inch LCD.
But there are plenty of companies happy to offer you the ability to connect you PSP to your TV if that’s what you want to do. To date most of these have involved you taking your PSP apart - not something we can recommend. Blaze’s PSP to TV Projector works in a different way however.
Instead it clips over your PSP’s screen and directly converts the graphics on the screen into a digital form that can then be outputted into your TV via standard AV cables. A bit of a Heath Robinson invention (he an artist/inventor who drew mad mechanical machines - Art Ed), no one’s yet seen the quality of the resulting TV picture, but because it’s not taking a direct feed from the PSP’s hardware, it’s unlikely to be brilliant. But we’ll happily reconsider our opinion, when the PSP to TV Projector is released in early December. Pricing is yet to be announced but orders will be taken from www.xploder.net.
Elsewhere a similar device has been announced by Asian Toy Source. Its PSP ON TV will launch next month from www.PSPonTV.com and costs $99.
