PSP firmware ver3.95 available now

It's mere weeks since the last one, but it looks like Sony can't give PSP owners these updates fast enough.

Today new firmware is available to download (as ever either via Sony's site or using the Network Update option on your PSP) that should be particularly appealing to anyone who's also the proud parent of a PS3.

The new update will allow you to quit Remote Play and choose to either turn off your PS3 or leave it on after quitting. The two options will appear after selecting 'Quit Remote Play' when you press the PSP Home button.

It'll also let you assign your own buttons when playing PSone games on your PSP - which is quite a nifty addition. It's done by going to 'Controller Settings' then 'Assign Buttons' and selecting 'Custom'.

So there you have it. We'll be up to ver20.01 before we know it at this rate.
