PS Vita will not support Game Archives at launch, confirms Sony

Sony has confirmed in an FAQ that PlayStation Vita will not support Game Archives at launch.
While Sony had hinted previously that the feature may be missing from its upcoming portable console, a post on its Japanese website has laid the issue to rest.
There may yet be hope for prospective PS Vita owners with a soft spot for retro gaming, however. While Sony's new handheld will not launch with Game Archives support, the FAQ states, "Plans for future measures will be announced".
Games Archives is the term used for PSone Classics and TurboGrafx-16 games in Japan.
The PS Vita launches in on 17th December in Japan, and 22nd February 2012 in Europe and North America.
