PS Vita to have the same 20MB 3G download size limit as iOS devices
Wi-fi connection needed for larger games
Details of the PlayStation Vita's 3G service have begun to trickle out, with some interesting news concerning 3G downloads.
In an interview with Japanese site ASCII - as translated by Andriasang - Sony explains that 3G downloads will be capped at 20 megabytes to begin with.
This means that anyone hoping to download games larger than this will need to look for a wi-fi connection.
If that sounds stingy, bear in mind that Apple enforces the same limit. For reference, Angry Birds for iPhone is 15.9MB, and Cut the Rope is 19.1 MB. Team17's relatively simple 2D casual strategy game Worms is 100MB, and EA's FIFA 12 is a whopping 1.02GB.
The Sony representative speaking with ASCII noted that this limit may well be changed in the future.
