PS Vita titles begin to appear on US PSN Store, discounts for majority of titles
Plus, Sony yet to make announcement regarding UMD Passport scheme in UK
If you've recently accessed Sony's US PSN Store via your PlayStation 3, you may have noticed that a handful of PS Vita games have begun to materialise.
We reported earlier this month that downloadable Vita titles in the US will cost around ten per cent less than their physical counterparts, and it looks like the majority of titles currently on the US PSN Store sport this discount.
Yes, we said the 'majority': not all. Unfortunately, Uncharted: Golden Abyss is available for $49.99. Full price, in other words.
On the positive side, though, Hot Shots Golf: World Invitational is discounted to $35.99, ModNation Racers: Road Trip has been slashed to $26.99, and WipEout 2048 is available for $35.99.
Look around
Despite all of the above titles being 'discounted', it's likely you'll still be able to pick up a physical copy of each game for less dough. Bricks-and-mortar retailers are likely to apply their own discounts and run their own promotions, after all.
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) will update the UK PSN Store sometime today, so keep your eyes peeled for the possible arrival of Vita titles.
Speaking of SCEE, Pocket Gamer recently contacted the European subsidiary to confirm whether Sony's UMD Passport scheme will make it to the UK in light of the news that Sony won't be extending the service to the US.
"We haven't made any announcements regarding the UMD Passport program for SCEE," Hugo Bustillos, SCEE's PR manager, replied.
