Pornstar Ron Jeremy: Violent video games are more harmful to children than porn
Cites 'studies'

A quick glance at portly pornstar Ron Jeremy will tell you that there can be few in his profession better qualified to speak about video games, resembling as he does an aging Mario.
Despite this resemblance, it seems the video game industry can't rely on his support, at least not when pornography is in the dock.
During a debate with anti porn activist Graig Ross at this year's CES, he countered the argument that pornography has become children's primary means of sex education by saying, "[Studies have] found that violent video games are much bigger a negative influence on kids."
By all accounts it was a light-hearted affair, and there's probably not much to be gained by asking Jeremy which studies he's referring to (or, indeed, which studies secured permission to show pornography to minors).
While the existence of a comparative study is questionable, it's true that many studies have purported to show a link between violence and violent video games in children, and in any case sex has to be better for people than brutal takedowns.
Even so, I'm happier with the thought that my nephews are shooting virtual people in the face than watching two firemen [censored] onto a [censored] stretched [censored] and then a elderly woman comes in and [censored] corner pocket [censored] staggers out the door.
Call me old fashioned.
