Considering the PSP comes with a wi-fi connection and a web browser, it’s a surprise that more game companies haven’t decided to create PSP-friendly websites. So a shout out goes to Sony Online Entertainment then, as it’s managed to knock up something for Internet-enabled PSP users.

Called Mobile.Station and found at http://mobile.station.sony.com, it’s a small portal covering SOE’s PSP games such as Untold Legends (which was released by Activision in the UK) as well as Gripshift and Frantix, which came out via Ubisoft.

Available content includes screenshots, wallpapers as well as some exclusive downloadable tracks for Gripshift. SOE also takes the opportunity to provide some info on upcoming games Untold Legends: The Warrior’s Code and Field Commander. There’s also some information on SOE’s PC games like EverQuest.

Assuming you’ve got some space on your memory stick, downloadable movie trailers are also available, although considering that the current films are Into The Blue,The Exorcism of Emily Rose and Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo, you might not want to bother. Other odds and ends include links through to standard sports and news websites - but of course, these aren’t configured for PSP.

Still, if you’ve got a copy of Gripshift, it’s well worth taking a peek just to get hold of those extra tracks.
