Announcing the Pocket Gamer Awards 2023: Get your nominations in for the best games of the last year

So, apparently, it's been a whole year since I wrote one of these articles. I'd ask where the time went, but that's a little cliché, and frankly, we have more important matters to discuss than my inability to be aware of days and weeks passing. Instead, let's talk about mobile games and how we plan to celebrate them at the Pocket Gamer Awards 2023.

That's right! We're back again to celebrate the latest and greatest in mobile gaming over the past 12 months, as chosen by you. As always, the process unfolds over three stages, and you can get involved every step of the way.

Step 1: Nominations

Obviously, you can't give out any awards if nobody gets nominated. Our first step, which is underway right now, is to invite our readers to nominate their picks across our 20 categories. Whether you've played something fantastic on Apple Arcade or Netflix or simply have favourites in several genres, we want to hear about it. So long as it released between October 1st 2022, and September 30th 2023, that is. We have to cut it off somewhere! Nominations are open until October 31st at 6 pm UK time, so get your picks in before that closes.

Step 2: Votes

Once the nominations are in, we will count the responses and create a shortlist. That will be revealed at the start of November, and voting will open, giving you the whole month to make your voice heard. You can vote and, beyond that, scream about your favourites on social media to rally the community to ensure your choices take home the prize.

Step 3: The Winners

Once voting has closed, we'll check everything is in order before uploading a video to our YouTube channel announcing the winners on December 13th 2023.
