With the absurdity of E3 – by which we mean the obviously wonderful amount of video game-related activity – filling up the site quicker than icy water pouring into the Titanic, there's little hope for our weekly handheld release report getting noticed.

Still, the strength is in the detail, as the designer of the ill-fated ocean liner found out the very hard way. So despite the seemingly impossible swim against the relentless E3 current, we're going to stick to our routine.

Without further ado (time is particularly precious this week), below you'll find the titles that should be sailing their way into shops on both sides of the Atlantic over the next eight days.
