PlayStation Network purchases not transferable to Xperia Play
'You'll have to re-purchase'
Sony has confirmed that PlayStation Network purchases for the PS3 or PSP will not be transferable to Xperia Play. Natahan Vautier, Sony’s UK managing director, claimed any content (such as retro PSone games) will have to bought again on the new Sony Ericsson mobile in an interview with Gamespot.
The Xperia Play - known informally as the PlayStation Phone - was shown to journalists at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this weekend. It has a slide out control panel that's similar in layout to the PlayStation controller.
The Xperia Play will have 50 games available to play when it launches in March.
