Play games and save lives with War Child this November
Having peaceful fun for an excellent cause
If you've ever wanted to help towards a great cause by playing mobile games, you'll want to take note of this one. War Child's project, Armistice, has rallied developers and publishers and aims to raise £250,000 for children in need.
With November 11th only a few days away, it's been almost 100 years since the guns fell silent in World War 1 and that's a cause for celebration. If you've not heard of it, War Child is a charity which helps support children across the world caught in conflict and strives to give them a better future.Last year @WarChildUK reached 165,231 children, giving them a chance to play, learn and grow ?? The money raised from #Armistice2018, our annual charity gaming fundraiser, will do even more good ?? But who’s involved? Project Armistice works across a huge number of titles, including Shadowgun Legends, Snipers vs. Thieves, Lords Mobile, The Respawnables, Guns of Boom, March of Empires, and more. Come November 8th, exclusive Armistice Sale content will be available to purchase via IAP for non-violent items/weapons, peace emblem masks, skins, and more.
Steam-users are also in for a treat as right now you'll be able to pick up some brilliant titles on sale, where a percentage of developer proceeds will go towards War Child UK's work.
"War Child's Armistice is a unique and exciting initiative. Peace is denied to too many children around the world, but millions of gamers can help some of the world's most vulnerable children affected by war by playing games as part of War Child's Armistice," said Carey Mulligan, War Child UK global ambassador."It's such an innovative way to fundraise and very simple too – just buying and playing a game you love can help provide crucial support for innocent victims of war."
