For those of you who have stumped up your hard-earned cash for the 3DS XL and paid out for a separate AC adaptor, the news that Nintendo is releasing an official charging cradle / adaptor combo for the device may infuriate you.

According to the Amazon.co.uk listing for this 3DS XL cradle, it's scheduled to go on sale on August 24th. Oh, did we mention the price? Yep, it will retail for the not-insignificant price of £19.99.
