Offerpal Media has announced that it's bringing its Managed Offer Platform to iPhone, with the aim of making games developers pots of money.

The company's technology is already used by social networking games and applications, as well as virtual worlds online. Offerpal CEO Anu Shukla thinks iPhone is a logical next step.

"We view the iPhone as the next big application platform," she says. "At last count there were more than 10,000 iPhone applications, most of which are free or extremely low cost to use and have yet to provide developers with any significant revenues. Offerpal Media gives iPhone developers a simple yet successful way to generate incredible revenues."

The platform works by getting iPhone gamers to earn points or virtual currencies by taking part in free trials, surveys and discount deals offered within the games. These points can then be redeemed by buying virtual goods or services from the game developers.

It sounds good, although how many iPhone game developers actually offer such goods and services is open to question, as well as how it'll fit into Apple's App Store ecosystem.

However, Offerpal says its platform is easy to integrate into games. What's more, it says developers on its existing platforms earn an average of $75 a day per 1,000 daily active users from the platform - and reckons iPhone developers "can expect to earn at least as much".
