Still hasn't shipped to all early bird purchasers

Starting over the weekend on 7th May, the Oculus Rift is appearing in Best Buy stores across America to allow the general public to buy the VR headset. Good news for curious shoppers, bad news for people with pre-orders that still haven't been delivered yet.

Good news though! If you're near one of the 48 stores flogging the Rift in the United States, you can go into store and buy one, still collecting the EVE: Valkyrie founders and priority status for Touch preorders.

If you let Rift know you've purchased a rift at preorder on your order status, your preorder will be cancelled.

If you're not nearby? You can try ordering one from Amazon or Microsoft, but good luck, because shipping delays mean they've only got a limited supply too. There won't be that many at Best Buy even. Pesky shipping delays.

Still, if you're near one of the stores you can go in and try out games like Farlands or The Climb to make your mind up on VR. Demos for Europe and Canada are planned for the Autumn.
