Nokia launches Feedback Forum for N-Gage
|

Nokia has launched an official Feedback Forum for N-Gage, with the aim of getting gamers to come up with suggestions and ideas for the mobile gaming platform, and then vote on the best ones.

It's taken a leaf out of Dell's book: the PC/laptop manufacturer launched its IdeaStorm site last year with a similar model.

So far, the most popular suggestion on Nokia's site is for the company to make an official statement on when the N-Gage app will be out for the N73 and N93 handsets.

Interestingly, it appears to have been submitted by Nokia's own N-Gage blogger 'ikona', although it could be someone else pinching their name.

Also popular are suggestions that Nokia releases new N-Gage updates more often, uses 3D accelerator hardware for N-Gage games, and halts its policy of locking the games to individual handsets, leaving users stranded if they upgrade.

The site also includes the ability for Nokia people to respond, with their views highlighted in purple so users know their concerns are getting heard.

It's a brave and forward-thinking thing for Nokia to do. Of course, launching this kind of site is just the first step – acting on users' demands is the important second step.
