Nintendo pushes Kid Icarus: Uprising into March, more 3DS/DS release dates announced

Nintendo of Europe has announced its handheld line-up for early 2012 which includes new dates for Kid Icarus: Uprising and the release of Inazuma Eleven 2 outside of Japan.

First out of the door for 2012 is Resident Evil: Revelations which will be joined by Sega’s CRUSH 3D, Nicalis’s VVVVVV, and the controversial Circle Pad Pro add-on in January.

Sega’s Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games is still slated for a February release hopefully alongside Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D which is still a snake in the grass with its vague "winter" release window.

The oft-delayed Kid Icarus: Uprising has been pushed into a March release. Those upset by the delay should check out how they can grab a free copy of the 3D Classics: Kid Icarus next month.

Other releases with a Q1 2012 release date slapped on them include Namco Bandai’s Pac-Man Party 3D, Ben 10 Galactic Racing, and Tekken 3D Prime Edition which will launch February 17th according to a BBFC listing.

Sega’s Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure is also slated for an early 2012 release.

On the Nintendo DS front it’s slim pickings with the release of Inazuma Eleven 2 in both Firestorm and Blizzard flavours due
early next year.

First-party titles Mario Tennis and Luigi’s Mansion 2, as well as Professor Layton's 3D debut, have all been given a vague 2012 release window.
