Nintendo 3DS in cerulean blue and shimmer pink schedule for China later this year

Nintendo is planning to release two new colours of the original 3DS later this year. The new colour variants are Cerulean Blue and Shimmer Pink, and are slated for distribution in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Nintendo has made no statement as to whether these new colours will make it to North America, Europe, or Japan.

While the original 3DS already has blue and pink variants available on the market, the two new colour choices are bolder and replace the iridescence of the existing colours with a brighter, warmer tone.

Outside of the new hue, the handhelds do not appear to offer any new functionality or inputs.
