Nintendo 3DS DLC coming later this year
The company's digital crusade continues

Nintendo took some huge steps forward with its 3DS console last week - and it seems like it's got even more tricks up its sleeve.
Talking at a Q&A session in Tokyo, as translated by Andriasang, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata said that paid DLC is coming to the 3DS by the end of the year.
Developers will be able to provide downloadable content for their games, potentially extending the life of both retail and eShop titles.
However, the company said that when it came to DLC it would be wary of going down that route for its own first-party games, noting that its relationship with its customers played a vital role in the decision.
Overall, Iwata explained that within three years time he wants to see downloadable content for the 3DS being purchased without any reservations from the player.
