New Shenmue game Shenmue City NOT coming to mobile
Portable Ryo rumours quashed
A new chapter for the cult Shenmue series, Shenmue City, is soon to arrive in Japan, but not on mobiles as some sites have reported.
According to early reports, Shenmue City was set for release on mobile in Japan through the Yahoo! Mobagetown mobile gaming network. This led many to assume that the game would be coming to mobile.
Andriasang later issued a retraction. "While the Mobagetown service is a popular mobile gaming service, this announcement concerns a PC service from Yahoo and Mobagetown operator DeNA."
Although Shenmue City is the third Shenmue game, it doesn't appear to be a sequel to Shenmue II. It'll be released in Japan this winter.
