New Monster Hunter PSP hardware revision launching in Japan
Designed by Monster Hunters, for Monster Hunters

The phenomenal sales juggernaut that is the Monster Hunter series will be getting its own PSP model to celebrate the release of its latest money-printer, which, in turn, will send sales through the roof in the land of the rising sun during the month of December.
What’s different about this latest ‘special edition’ console, though, is that rather than just draw a few cool-looking images on the back (it does have that, mind), this new Monster Hunter Portable 3 PSP comes with updated hardware.
Along with an extended life battery that improves battery life at the cost of a slightly bulkier back, the MHP3 PSP also comes with an improved analogue nub that’s designed to ease the thumb pains that inevitably set in during long periods of hunting monsters.
There’s only been a shot of the back of the device so far, so it’s hard to tell exactly what improvements Sony has made to the much-maligned controller.
The MHP3 Special Edition PSP will be release on December 1st in Japan for 19800 yen, and will probably never be released anywhere else.
