Mpowerplayer trumpets 12 million demo plays
Things are looking rosy for the 'iTunes of mobile games'

US mobile games firm Mpowerplayer has announced that more than 12 million mobile games demos have been served through its PC-based try-and-buy store.
Describing itself as the 'iTunes of mobile games', the store is a Java application run through your web browser, which lets you try out games and then buy them.
Those 12 million demos have been played by more than a million gamers. We've been having a play with the service, and it's definitely slick, giving you a good sense of how games play.
It's certainly an experience trying to play Project Gotham Racing with a mouse and an onscreen keypad, too.
