More PSP 2 rumours: No UMD, 1GB RAM
Sony can't keep its cats in their bags

It's been quite a week for Sony handheld rumours. Not only is the long-rumoured PlayStation Phone making headlines thanks to pictures leaked to tech site Engadget, but more details have come to light regarding the almost as long-rumoured PSP 2.
The rumours emerge from a meeting that took place in Japan around the time of the Tokyo Game Show in September, indicating that the device, out in Autumn 2011, will have a rear touch panel, dual analogue sticks, and a large HD screen.
Two models were shown – one resembling a PSPgo and one resembling a standard PSP. Sony allegedly can't decide which one to adopt.
More rumours have come to light suggesting that Sony has plumped for the PSPgo option. The PSP 2 won't have a UMD drive. One source, speaking to Kotaku, suggests that games for the PSP 2 will be stored on a Memory Stick. Another suggests that Sony still hasn't decided what its non-UMD solution will be.
Kotaku has also learned that the PSP 2 will contain 1GB RAM – twice as much as the Xbox 360 and 16 times more than the PSPgo.
