Metallic blue PSP gets limited Japanese release
Better start sweet-talking your importer now
Sony today proved it's on some sort of primary colour bender with the announcement of a metallic blue limited edition PSP as well as a bright red PS2, both of which will go on sale in Japan this July.
The metallic blue PSP will be sold in two different bundles – one offering the usual Value Pack and the other part of a 1seg pack. It also looks suspiciously like the metallic blue PSP Sony recently announced it would be releasing in the US this year exclusively as part of a sports bundle. The one it said would only be available as part of the bundle and not on its own. Perhaps they had a few thousand left over.
Obviously it's a shame the exclusive colour will probably never see the light of day on its lovely metallic casing over here. But if you really like the look of the new colour, no doubt you'll be able to import one when they're released, which will be on July 17th. Get that pre-order in now. (If you're sneaky, that is – remember that Sony doesn't like its products shipped across the globe unless it does it itself.)
