Considering the importance of music to the games of Lumines-creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi, his entrance onto iTunes as a pop producer was only a matter of time.

Performed by hybrid group Genki Rockets and produced by Mizuguchi, the track called Heavenly Star is now available the US and Japanese iTunes stores for the princely sum of $0.99 or 150 yen.

Heavenly Star was included in the Lumines II game and will also be made available in the Heavenly Star download pack for Lumines Live! via Xbox Live Arcade

"We're delighted to introduce our first self-produced song on iTunes," said Mizuguchi. "It is an important element in Q Entertainment's global entertainment and distribution strategy. And as the world's most popular digital download store, iTunes is a key platform for serving our existing audience as well as introducing our work to others around the world."
