Looking for cheap(er) PSP games?
Latest UK deals to be had detailed
Popular online retailer Play.com has begun its summer sale today. Obviously there's thousands of CDs, DVDs, gadgets and even clothes to digitally trawl through.
But our focus is games. And, specifically in this instance, PSP games. In total, 39 titles for Sony's handheld have been deemed suitable to have their price point tweaked, and range from a silly low £9.99 to a conservatively discounted £24.99.
Naturally, there's a lot of rubbish within the selection – Play.com is trying to clear its stock, rather than offering some kind of humanitarian service.
But just because a UMD is discounted it shouldn't automatically be dismissed as worthless gaming experience. It's just a question of knowing what you're looking at.
The excellent FIFA 07 for £14.99 (delivered) is an obvious immediate choice, perhaps only contested by the equally magnificent (and currently topical) Virtua Tennis 3, were it not for the higher £19.99 price tag (that and the fact it's available cheaper – £17.99 – from GAME). Meanwhile, Me & My Katamari remains a firm favourite, particularly when it can be anyone's for £14.99.
If it's something a little more recent you crave (perhaps your back catalogue is well-stocked), how about Driver 76, Burnout Dominator, or Call of Duty: Roads to Victory, now just £17.99 each? And for a pound less, you can get Prince of Persia Rival Swords.
Anyway, enough prompting – you're big enough to make your own purchases. If you haven't already, you can check out Play.com's PSP section of the sale and decide how to spend your money there.
