Les jeux sont faits: The week's new game releases
|
DS + PSP

We're not betting men, but had we been forced to place a wager on how many titles would drop off the release schedule we published last week (which, let's not forget, was as accurate as we could make it based on four different sources – not least the game publishers themselves), then 'seven' might well have been our answer.

And had it been, and had we indeed put some money where our typing fingers are, we would now be rich beyond our wildest dreams. Well, we would have made a modest profit. But hey, money isn't everything.

So, yeah, we lost seven this week. However, they weren't all exactly what you'd call magnificent, so it's not as depressing as it sounds. Furthermore, some of the more interesting titles, such as Thrillville, have only suffered a one- or two-week delay; given the number of other new titles currently available every Friday, that's hardly something to get worked up over.

Indeed, next week is again looking frighteningly oversubscribed with regards to releases, particularly on PSP. And to make things more interesting, there's some potential dead certs within the group.

How many will run the distance and how many will fall by the wayside? Place your bets now.
