It looks like Japanese developer Cave is about to make all things merry and bright for bargain-hunting iPhone and iPad users.

That's because this morning Cave revealed via Twitter that five of its popular App Store shooters will be going on sale at midnight.

Cave listed four of the five games (Espgaluda II, DoDonPachi Resurrection, Mushihimesama Bug Panic, and DeathSmiles) set to receive a discount in its tweet, but omitted to mention the fifth.

Bugging out

If I were a betting man, however, I'd suggest that the recently released Bug Princess is the mystery member of this quintet. Don't hold me to that, mind.

Each and every one of the abovementioned manic shooters is a PG Award winner in its own right, with DeathSmiles collecting a Gold gong, Mushihimesama Bug Panic, Bug Princess, and Espgaluda II (on iPad) bagging Silver trinkets, and DoDonPachi Resurrection earning a Bronze trophy.

The sale will run from December 21st, 2011, to January 10th, 2012. Touch Arcade
