Hand over $25 to ChargeCard makers and end your lost charger cable woes forever
It's the future
I'm sure many of you recognise the above scene. I'm sure many of you are called Maureen.
If you were one of the 5,248 backers who donated cash to the successfully funded ChargeCard Kickstarter project last year, though, you can kiss goodbye to any 'lost cable' scenarios in future. Hopefully.
You see, the designers of this ultra-slimline (0.1" thick, thank you) USB-based replacement for the traditional iPhone charger cable reckon the days of the tangled-up web of wires are numbered.
Cable guysIn the words of ChargeCard developers Noah Dentzel and Adam Miller, their new gizmo is a "USB cable that's thin enough to fit easily into your wallet, purse, or pocket".
Since the ChargeCard is a USB-powered device, you'll be able to plug it into computers, televisions, games consoles, cars, and more to pump extra juice into your iPhone or Android device.
Dentzel and Miller are now shipping their $25 credit card-sized charger to customers. Bear in mind, though, that the current model is only compatible with iPhone 4 and Android devices. If you want an iPhone 5-compatible ChargeCard, you can pre-order one from the company website.
