Google confirms that Android 5.0 is now Android Lollipop, fails to make joke about licking the competition
Ba doo doo doo
Android L isn’t called Android L anymore. It’s called Android Lollipop, and it should be rolling out to select devices in the next few weeks.
The new version of Google’s OS is the first real overhaul since Android 4.0, bringing with it a new user interface, as well as plenty more tricks and treats.
The final SDK of the build will be sent to developers on October 17th, but it’s unlikely that devices will start getting the update until after November 3rd, the date that the Nexus 9 comes out.
The Nexus 4 and the original Nexus 7 will get the new OS, which is nice to know, and you can find out much more about it by following this link right here.
