Game & Watch titles arrive on DSiWare

While news of a fancy 3D successor to the DS broke this morning, Nintendo also announced the arrival of three classic oldies from an era when portable consoles only ran one game, mobile phones were a rich man’s dream, and Mario hadn't quite decided what career path to take.

Mario Cement Factory, Chef, and Judge are all available now on DSiWare for a mere 200 Nintendo points and feature almost identical graphics and gameplay to the 20-year-old LCD cousins.

As someone who remembers coveting Mario Cement Factory at school, this announcement has left me strangely excited and feeling extremely old.

Hopefully Nintendo will also see fit to bring some of the later Game & Watch titles across to the DSi as well, because the Zelda and Super Mario Bros games were surprisingly brilliant.
