Hyperlight, which managed to nab a Pocket Gamer Bronze Award at review, is a psychedelic shooter that's "highly" optimised for the iPhone 4S and the iPad 2.

In it, you take control of a stylised spaceship that's under attack from waves of evil beings hell-bent on eradicating the last human hope of survival. Naturally, you have to prevent that.

Luckily, you have numerous weapons at your disposal, as well as helpful power-ups that tip the balance of battle in your favour.

Scorched Monster is a 8-bit 2D platformer in which you have to quickly hunt down monsters that appear at random and scorch them to death with your trusty flamethrower.

If your opponents are getting the upper hand, simply grab one of the in-game power-ups and go to town singeing a few thousand baddies.
