Drag the Rope
By Tiangua - download for iPhone or download for iPad

Drag the Rope is a puzzle game designed for both the iPhone and iPad that charges you with creating allotted shapes by dragging a rope around various chocks.

The challenge comes from doing this without doubling back on yourself or causing your ropes to cross one another.

There are more than 60 levels to play through and a whole bunch of Game Center achievements to unlock.

Defend Homeland
By Duole - download for iPhone

Defend Homeland is a tower defence title that hurls you into the shoes (shells?) of a gang of battle-hardened snails, and pits you against waves of nasty ant baddies.

There are six different types of snail to utilise - each with unique skills - and 11 different varieties of enemy ants, not to mention three difficulty levels to master.

And if you're craving a particularly tough challenge, there's an Endless mode to jump into.
