E3 2009: Will Microsoft position ZuneHD as an iPod touch killer at its keynote?
One more unto the breach?

If you know anything about the world of video games, you know that E3 is kicking off today with a keynote from Microsoft. You also know that Microsoft is a powerful player in the home console market, but not in the handheld market.
So why will we be watching this keynote? Because of the ZuneHD.
Although Microsoft hasn't formally announced an intention to do bloody battle with Sony, Nintendo, and Apple - and may never - news that the Zune will have Xbox LIVE compatibility and that it'll provide "game-changing experiences" has got the industry aflutter with speculation.
In two hours time, we'll know a bit more about it. As to whether you'll be able to use it to play XBLA games - which is, of course, The Dream - you've still got 15 minutes to place your bets.
