Disney confirms Monkey Island is dead as it retires loads of mobile games

Disney Interactive Studios has retired a significant number of its mobile games on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.

This doesn't necessarily mean that the games won't be downloadable or playable still. By retiring these games, Disney says that it will no longer continue to update or offer support for them.

"Although the decision was difficult to make, this will allow us to focus on building new and more engaging games," Disney writes in the announcement.

No refunds or credits for virtual items, in-game currency, or anything else you may have paid for inside these games are being offered.

Included in this list of retired games are ones we spotted going missing before such as Tiny Death Star and Monkey Island 1 and 2.
