Digital Chocolate's sweet success at ME Awards
Tower Bloxx developer floors them again

Digital Chocolate – the developer of such champion mobile games as Tower Bloxx and Beach Ping Pong – was itself a winner last night, when it picked up the Best Games Developer award at the first ever Mobile Entertainment Awards in London.
Two more games-related winners included Gameloft, who picked up Best Games Publisher for releasing top quality titles like Splinter Cell Double Agent, and technology company Terraplay, who won the Best Games Service Provider award.
Held by Mobile Entertainment magazine to recognise the innovation, creativity and the people who work in mobile content (not just games), the glitzy evening event attracted over 350 representatives from media, technology and entertainment companies around the world (including our own bon viveur Chris James, who is yet to make it back to the office…).
Other categories covered the non-gaming aspects of mobile entertainment. MTV won Best Video Producer, Sony Ericsson picked up the award for Best Handset, and 3 UK was voted as Best Operator. (Incidentally, if you're into more than gaming on your phone too, be sure to check out our new PocketPicks website.)
