Devs tweet about NGP, God of War's Jaffe draws vagina comparison

Developers have taken to bitesize social network Twitter to wax lyrical about Sony’s new console, in 140 characters or fewer.

David Jaffe, creator of God of War, Twisted Metal, and, most importantly, Mickey Mania on the SNES, had the most colourful response to the quad-core hardware. He said, "I like the NGP from what I've seen of it! I want one!". But there’s more. We won’t editorialise. Take it away, Jaffe:

"New hardware is like new p*ssy. It's exciting at first but after you've experienced enough fresh vagina over the years - while there's still always a bit of excitement when something new comes along - you learn that sooner than later, the new and exciting becomes the standard and dependable and so it's best to just stay focused and [grateful] on what you've got at the moment and if you need to make a change, it'll just happen organically."

He’s not “anti-NGP at all”, he later clarifies, he’s just focused so heavily on PS3 development (Jaffe’s EatSleepPlay is currently working on a PS3 Twisted Metal sequel), that he can’t be thinking about working on new platforms at the moment.

BioShock creator Ken Levine, said, "PSP2, do want. Don't get the hate. Two analog sticks = shooters on a handheld for the first time. Potential, let's hope for follow through."

Microsoft Games Studios’s John Noonan made an interesting point. “If I was launching the 3DS or PSP2 I would have Rovio showing Angry Birds 2 at my presser,” he tweeted.

And Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima, evidently writing with a translator, said “Every creator was delighted to NGP's surpassing holding and operational feeling." Sounds good, Koj’!
