Okay, we're not exactly at 'ghost town' point with regards to weekly handheld releases, but we're nowhere near 'thriving city' either – three newcomers tomorrow and just the one next Friday barely constitutes a hamlet.
However, why not get something positive out of this traditional slump period? You could always check out our DS and PSP top 10 games of 2006 and pick up something you may have missed to keep you entertained until things get going again.
If your collection suffers from no such glaring omissions, then browse the January sales. We did and discovered some excellent Sony sales sizzlers and Nintendo bargains.
You're bound to find something in that lot to keep the tumbleweeds at bay.
