Eccentric Japanese auteur Goichi Suda, aka Suda 51, would like to bring his mad genius to Nintendo's upcoming handheld device, the 3DS.

The 3DS will allegedly present pop-out 3D graphics without the need for special glasses. We'll believe it when we see it, at E3 next month.

Suda 51, best known for games like No More Heroes, Flower, Sun and Rain, and Michigan - a game where you make women fall over so you can photograph their knickers - is totally up for 3DS development.

"I do have many ideas," Mr.51 told Official Nintendo Magazine, "I would love to try to develop a game for 3DS if I have a chance."

"I hope for the realisation of a training remote like Luke Skywalker used for force training in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope."

Right now, Suda is working hard on a console horror game with Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami. Perhaps once that game is out, Suda can turn his attention to Nintendo's brand new console.
