Apple updates Game Center user interface

Going sporty

Apple updates Game Center user interface
|

Apple's social gaming technology Game Center has been available for developers to mess around with for a while now, even though its features aren't completely nailed down.

Its consumer launch is still months off though, and will require a lot of management, both in terms of technology and developer support.

Still, it's nice to see how some aspects of the technology are progressing and over at MobileCrunch, Greg Kumparak has highlighted the new look in terms of user interface, as part of the iOS 4.1 release.

The first example (left) looks like programmer art, while the update has a more coherent theme, even if it's a little retro and sporty for my personal tastes.

Perhaps everything will change again before the autumn.
