Apple confirms UK iPad 2 prices to start at £399
Cheaper than original iPad launch

Apple has confirmed the suggested retail price of the iPad 2 ahead of its UK launch on Friday. A 16GB wi-fi-only model will set you back £399, with the 32GB and 64GB versions costing £479 and £559 respectively.
iPads with wi-fi and 3G support will be £100 more than their wi-fi-only counterparts.
These prices are cheaper than the cost of the original iPad, which started at £429 for a wi-fi-only device, with a 32GB costing £499 and the 64GB costing £699.
Earlier this week, Apple was forced to reject rumours that the international launch of the iPad 2 would be delayed due to overwhelming demand in the US.
However, the company has confirmed that the device will go on sale no earlier than 5pm in UK stores and 1am on Apple’s online store.
