Netflix Games to remove top releases, including Carmen Sandiego and the Monument Valley series
We hardly... Well, we knew you very well

- Netflix Games is set to remove a whopping 22 top releases
- This includes recent arrivals such as Carmen Sandiego and the hit Monument Valley series
- There are still some great upcoming games, but this is an acute loss
Well, unfortunately, it seemed this was set to happen sooner or later. Netflix Games, with its bevvy of fantastic releases from studios both indie and otherwise, is set to remove a whopping 22 entries from its service. That's according to the folks at What's On Netflix, who put that at an estimated 20% of the overall library on Netflix.
And yes, that includes some of our favourites such as Carmen Sandiego and the Monument Valley series. Unfortunately, just like with Apple Arcade, it's simply a fact of subscription gaming that many great releases end up evaporating once the license expires.
The full list itself is even more gut-wrenching, with Hades, Katana Zero, Dumb Ways to Die and Braid, Anniversary Edition among others set to go. According to WoN, you'll still have a while to dig into these, as they'll be departing the service in July.

Net losses
Of course, all this doom and gloom does need to be tempered somewhat as Netflix does still have a worthwhile lineup, as well as some major new arrivals including the WWE 2k franchise (no surprise given the wrestling promotion's partnership with the streamer), Rebel Moon: Bloodlines and Yu Suzuki's Steel Paws. But, that being said, these are still some pretty dire losses. I think of those being cut, the Monument Valley series will be felt most acutely, as the stylish 3D puzzler made its mark on Netflix up and including appearing on-screen in their hit series House of Cards.
Still, there are plenty of other top 10 releases to check out on Netflix Games. You can take a gander through our own list of everything on there, and rest assured that, like with Apple Arcade, we might see many of these make a return to mobile, as has happened today with the release of Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon!
