Hexic and Mozaki come to Windows Mobile smartphones
Astraware on the case for addictive puzzlers

We loved the Java version of match-three puzzler Hexic, so we're delighted to say that Windows Mobile users can now join in the fun.
Astraware has announced that it's bringing that, and another game, Mozaki, to Windows Mobile smartphones, having developed both versions for Microsoft's Carbonated Games studio.
If you're new to Hexic, it involves rotating trios of hexes to form clusters of three or more, with Marathon, Timed and Survival game modes.
Oh, and it was originally created by a bloke called Alexey Pajitnov. You know, him of Tetris fame. So its credentials are impressive.
And guess what? He also invented Mozaki, a game we first clapped eyes on in mobile form at the GDC show in March 2006. It involves placing blocks on a board, and connecting pieces of the same colour to form unbroken lines.
The release of the two games is a sign that Windows Mobile isn't just a stuffy business operating system any more. Expect to pay $9.95 for each game from Astraware's website.
