Monster Hunter Now set to debut Fulgar Anjanath in Jaws of Flame and Thunder
  • Monster Hunter Now is set to unleash the new event, Jaws of Flame and Thunder
  • It introduces Fulgur Anjanath in a new hunting event where it and Anjanath exclusively appear
  • There's, of course, new armour and weapons for the thunder element that you can make from them

Given that it's called Monster Hunter Now, it shouldn't be any surprise that Niantic's hit AR creature hunter getting a new beast is big news! And it's none other than the (literally) electrifying Fulgur Anjanath. This beast and its kin are now set to stalk the fine line between the real and digital world in the latest event, Jaws of Flames and Thunder.

Running from August 18th to the 24th, Jaws of Flame and Thunder will see the debut of Fulgur Anjanath, as already mentioned. You'll want to keep an eye out as only Fulgur Anjanath and Anjanath will appear on the field during specific times of this event.

Meanwhile, those of you shelling out for a paid Special Hunt Ticket can grab more of the helpful hunting bonuses (aliteration not ours) from this optional add-on. And, of course, it wouldn't be Monster Hunter if you didn't get the opportunity to transform the corpses of these massive beasts into some snazzy new armour and weapons!

Hunt-it-yourself

For those not in the know, Fulgur Anjanath is a subspecies of Anjanath itself. Weak to water, it relies on storing energy as electricity in the membrane of its mouth and back. But you're probably more concerned with what snazy new duds you can make out of it!

Well, as you might expect, you can construct a whole arsenal of new Thunder element weapons from the Sword & Shield to Heavy Bowgun. Meanwhile, the Fulgur set of armour will increase your thunder element value depending on the level of your remaining health.

If you're planning on jumping into this new event, don't go in unprepared! Be sure to check out our list of Monster Hunter Now codes to nab yourself some free zenny and other goodies without having to spend a penny of your own money.
