All hunting, all the time

Monster Hunter Now launches new Exploration Bases feature and details of MH Now Summer Hunt 25
  • Monster Hunter Now is set to unveil a new co-op feature in beta with Exploration Bases
  • Work together to upgrade bases at famous landmarks with the help of other players
  • There's also a new paid online event with the MH Now Summer Hunt 2025

If there's anything that can be said for the world of Monster Hunter, it's that the franchise has shown hunting is hardly a solitary activity. And now Niantic's hit AR adaptation is set to introduce a whole new co-op element with the debut of the new Exploration Bases feature that promises to revamp the multiplayer experience for Monster Hunter Now!

So, what are Exploration Bases? Well, this feature (currently in beta) will establish bases at local landmarks that players can work together to upgrade. While it has some superficial similarities to the Gyms and Pokestops that are present in Pokémon Go, this looks to be a far more involved feature for regular players than just visiting.

To test this feature, there's a new monster outbreak with Azure Rathalos taking place between July 19th and 20th. You'll be able to get to grips with it and contribute feedback, all while earning exclusive medals! Check out the official MH Now blog for even more info.
