And with the collaboration taking place over Star Wars Day, it seems appropriate they're offering a free Princess Leia token to celebrate!
Star Wars Day itself obviously needs little introduction, as it simply coincides with May 4th and sprang from the pun "May the 4th be with you." However, even off the back of such humble origins, it's become the as-of-yet still unofficial holiday for Star Wars fans across the globe (and perhaps beyond...?)
Monopoly Go and Star Wars' collaboration, meanwhile, has already offered a bevvy of themed content for players. And to claim this new Princess Leia player token, all you need to do is log in before the end of the collaboration on July 2nd to claim it!
Scopely's acknowledgement of May 4th is unsurprising, but it still signifies how the wider Star Wars franchise has come to embrace the unofficial holiday. More than that, it offers the intriguing premise that this ongoing collaboration will continue to spring surprises on players.
