The team behind Mini Plane and Dynamo Kid has announced the upcoming release of a new Android title this Friday.

Mini Army is a reimagining of the mobile classic Snake. This time, rather than guiding a slithering reptile around an abstract maze you’re guiding a crack team of soldiers around a series of battlefields.

While your numbers will swell as you defeat opposing soldiers, tanks and helicopters (that’s some recruitment policy), you’ll need to watch out for environmental hazards such as deadly minefields.

OrangePixel has also modified the Snake template to include 'killstreak' combos and OpenFeint integration for all your highscore sharing/boasting needs.

Mini Army will be available at a “discount rate” of €1 from Friday 1st October to Thursday 14th October. We'll have a review up in advance of that date, so stay alert, soldier.
