Lines On Sides is a minimalist puzzle game coming next week for iOS
Indie games developer Michal Barszczewski will be releasing their minimalist puzzle game called Lines On Sides next week for iOS devices. The title will be releasing for iPhone and iPad on 6th May.
Lines on Sides is a continuation of the trend of minimalism that Barszczewski started in Cubether. In it, you arrange the tiles to match the colours of their sides to the adjacent tiles. When you manage to sort them out correctly, black lines appear between them to confirm you did it correctly.
As a minimalistic game, there are no tutorials which may leave you in the dark. The mechanics are pretty simple though, so it shouldn’t be too much work to try and figure out how to solve the puzzles. Check out this trailer below to see more of the game in motion.
Most importantly, Lines On Sides is a game set at a relaxing pace. You can simply chill on it and complete the puzzles at your own discretion without worrying about stressful time limits or life bars. It’ll make it easy to forget the worries of everyday life.
Barszczewski also created last year’s Cubether, which uses a similar minimal concept to this game. In it you had to move cubes around a board to match colours and create larger cubes to find the exit. With every cube moving in its own way, it became a game of experimenting with patterns to create larger cubes and find the solution to each puzzle area.
Lines On Sides is coming to the iOS App Store next week on 6th May, where it will be priced at $0.99. There's no word yet on if it'll come to Android, but we'll update you if more details arrive. If you like playing puzzle games, be sure to read our list which names some of the best ones on iOS.
