Lhea and the Word Spirit is an upcoming roguelite about the fine line between life and death
Let the Word Spirit be your guide

- Guide lost souls in the In-Between
- Manipulate the battle timeline
- Coming in August, Steam Demo in June
Solo developer Jo Drolet has announced the upcoming launch of Lhea and the Word Spirit, a new single-player roguelite where you guide lost souls across mysterious worlds. On your quest to seal the dreaded In-Between, you'll straddle the fine line between life and death guided by an ancient Word Spirit. All these are presented with minimalist visuals with an interesting "timeline battle system".
In Lhea and the Word Spirit, you can look forward to manipulating the timeline of battles to progress, with a variety of enchanted rings you can equip and upgrade to help you along the way. Customising these rings can grant you different spells, as well as unlock hidden secrets to unravel the truth behind the In-Between.
Given the roguelite nature, the adventure will have you adapting different strategies as no two runs are the same across the procedurally generated realms.

“I wanted to create this charming minimalistic world about life and death with the hope that players lose track of time and feel enspirited by this dance between unexpected discoveries, strategy flow and heartwarming music,” says Jo Drolet.
Lhea and the Word Spirit is set to launch sometime in August, but if you just can't wait until then, a demo will be available to play at Steam Next Fest from June 9th to the 16th.
