Back in September, Pocket Gamer named the top ten iPhone and iPad games it was most looking forward to. Today, one of those games, Junk Jack, has arrived on the App Store.

A mixture of Minecraft and Terraria, this 2D sandbox game sees you explore deep underground caverns, collect a variety of raw materials, magically turn them into objects and tools, and unearth more than 400 hidden treasures.

You do all the above using "intuitive" touchscreen controls that allow you to navigate the game's landscape by swiping on your device's screen, and interact with its scenery via taps.

Developer Pixbits is already working on future updates for Junk Jack, which will include new quests, cooking, and a complete farming system.

If you fancy giving your creative side a workout, you can grab Junk Jack from the App Store for £1.99 / $2.99.
